Grant Gentner, President of the Lake George Emergency Squad, has made a request for citizens to consider become volunteers with the Emergency Squad. In the past few years the number of calls has nearly doubled and the ambulances seem to run constantly. The calls are being answered with a combination of volunteers and paid medics.
The need is to increase the number of volunteers. Positions of drivers and those interested in taking the necessary training to becomes EMTs or Paramedics are the volunteer positions needed to be filled.
Any individuals interested in volunteering for this worthwhile activity, or for those interested in learning more about it, should contact the station at 668 9506.
