At the February Town Board Meeting a resolution adopted by the Board allows dog owners to license their dogs for one year, two year, or three year periods. Whichever period is chosen, the date of the license expiration may not extend beyond the date of the rabies vaccination. The annual cost of the license remains the same, i.e. one year would be $2.50, two years would be $5.00, and three years would be $7.50 for neutered dogs.
In the event when a long term license is issued, there are no refunds if the dog is not in the owner's possession for the entire period of the license.
