Following a Public Hearing on March 8, 2004, the Town Board at a Special Meeting on March 19, 2004, passed Local Law 1-2004. This law regulates the numbering of buildings within the Town of Lake George. It specifies which buildings must be numbered, the manner in which they should be numbered, and the actions to be taken in the event of failure to number.
The complete numbering of buildings in the Town is being done to assist police, fire, and other emergency vehicles as they respond to emergencies. The numbering is part of the 911 system of the county.
