In February of 2010 a committee consisting of John Carr, Tracey Clothier, Luisa Craig-Sherman, Keith Hanchett, John Herzog, Jim Mathis, and Ed Pagnatta began working on a concept plan to improve, to beautify, and to make pedistrian safer the entrance to Lake George from Exit 21 to the Village line. This project reflects one of the goals of the current Master Plan for the Town of Lake George.
After discussing the needs and desires for the area, with the assistance of the Adirondack/Glens Falls Traffic Council headed by Aaron Frankenfeld who was able to provide some grant funds, the committee selected the Chazen Companies to put the plan into print. This plan was presented to the public at a meeting on July 7th at the Town Hall and again at a Town Board meeting in September. In December the final plan was presented to the Town Board for adoption. The attached document is the completed plan.
