The Town of Lake George participates in a Coordinated Assessment Program (CAP) with the Town of Bolton. This means we share the services of Assessor and coordinate assessment administration with them on a daily basis. Everyday, the Assessor is in Lake George for the afternoon hours while in Bolton during the morning. Our assessment procedures which include revaluations, level of assessments, exemption policies and data updates are all coordinated through this program.
Tools at our disposal:
County tax maps, deeds of record, a county based geographic information system, sale records, up to date property inventories, photos and the NYS V4 computerized real property information and valuation system.
